D&D and Development

I first played Dungeons & Dragons( D&D) when I was 16 years old. What initially got me was a book called Deities and Demigods which introduces the lore of several real world cultures into the points based game. The art work thrilled me and the detail tickled my curiosity. Jump to 2019 and some friends convince me to try the 5e version of the game and… I am hooked!

Here's what a lot of people don't realize about D&D. It's about team solving puzzles and situations in whatever way they deem best. At the end of the day it's as much a team building exercise as much as it is a game. You sit at a table with people and dream up solutions to whatever the game master throws your way. That's a lot like being on a software dev team.
